Built By Pro Fist Principles
For too long, boxers have been misled by sponsorship deals, backroom promotions, and brands pushed without a shred of real research or testing standards. That ends now.
Fight 2 Finish is proud to establish the long-overdue standards for how gloves should be made—based on science, not hype. Boxing deserves better. Better science. Better education on the biomechanics of the punch.
Principle: The knuckles—particularly the index and middle finger—are the primary impact drivers. When forming your fist, these knuckles should be aligned to create a square shape inside the glove, ensuring maximum impact and safety. Crucially, the two knuckles that make first contact must be firmly backed by the radius bone in your forearm, providing additional support and stability during impact. This alignment ensures that force is transmitted efficiently while minimizing injury risk.
The glove should have at least 1 inch (for fight gloves) such as 8-10 oz, padding must be acquired from absorbent, and compliant . Ideal thickness for training gloves such as 12-14-16 oz should be around 1.5 - 1.7 inches for optimal protection, performance and comfort.
Padding Compliance and Durability:
The padding should be designed to soften over time with use, enhancing comfort, while maintaining its structural integrity without collapsing or losing shape. It should provide consistent shock absorption during sparring and bag work, ensuring long-lasting protection.
Layered Construction:
A robust compression layer should serve as the foundation, contributing to the glove's durability and long-term effectiveness.
Material Density and Shock Absorption:
The padding materials must be selected from shock-absorbing substances that offer slight bounce, providing both impact absorption and a responsive feel.
Design: Our gloves are shaped to support the *wrist* by aligning the *index and middle knuckles* with the *radius bone* of your arm, placing your wrist in a *strong, natural position** during impact.
Benefit: This reduces strain, prevents injuries, and ensures your wrist remains stable through every punch, boosting both safety and endurance.
